EPBRA is trying to encourage DOS to reconstruct the short section of road from the top of Wharf St. to the "Blue Heron" restaurant.
This section of road is badly in need of rebuilding. It is extensively used by pedestrians and is without a sidewalk. This road services a considerable volume of gravel, cement and logging trucks to and from the various industries in East Porpoise Bay as well as accommodating a large volume of recreational vehicles destined for Porpoise Bay Provincial Park during the holiday season.
It is also the only access route to the village for residents of East Porpoise Bay, Sandy Hook and Tuwanek.

Neighborhood Plan
East Porpoise Bay Ratepayers Association (EPBRA) initiated the formation of a planning committee for the purpose of creating a neighborhood plan to provide detailed and specific direction for land use, environmental protection and scheduling of infrastructure in East Porpoise Bay.
Meetings are held on a monthly basis in the upstairs conference room at the Sechelt District Office.
This plan, once completed will, with the approval of District Council, become part of Sechelt's Official Community Plan (OCP)
Committee membership is not restricted to EPBRA members, all residents of East Porpoise are welcome to participate.

Bicycle Path
EPBRA has, with some success, been lobbying District Council to build a cyclist pathway from Dusty Road to Burnet Road.
The District has in its Capital Plan 2002-2010 appropriated $10,000 in 2002 and an additional $10,000 in 2003 for the purpose of constructing this pathway.
According to Municipal Staff work on this project will commence shortly. The pathway will be one and one half meters wide, constructed of crushed gravel generously donated by Constructed Aggregates Ltd.
